The Mayfield Historical Society’s Rice Homestead is open for tours Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m from July 1 – August 29. The free tour features the 1790 homesteading cabin of Oliver Rice, his 1810 Federal Style home, along with its smokehouse, springhouse, Loom Room, and historical gardens. The home and Loom Room feature original belongings of the Rices as well as historical items from the Mayfield community.
