The ticket includes your entry for door prizes, food (BBQ style), and beer/soda/water.
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a rare genetic disease which causes extremely fragile skin to blister from minor friction. Makenzie requires multiple layers of bandages on her torso, legs and hands. Socks are then placed on her hands and feet to keep the bandages in place. This led to the Rock the Socks awareness campaign to spread the word about EB, “The Worst Disease You’ve Never Heard Of.”
In keeping with the Rock The Socks Theme, we present: Socktoberfest!!!
Recently Makenzie has been accepted into the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital, for an experimental Bone Marrow Transplant. We are hoping to help the family offset some of the out-of-pocket expenses they will incur relocating to Minnesota for the months before, during, and after the transplant.
