Lucy Ladd Stratton (1834-1936), a New Hampshire native, combined excerpts from her diaries, newspaper articles and letters home to hand-write an eloquent and often humorous memoir about her discovery of wild flowers to paint and her accompanying adventures during this pursuit. Sandy Nellis Lane studies wildflowers, editing Lucy’s “Trail Part II & Part III,” knitting, kayaking and helping to restore the 1747 Nellis Tavern in St. Johnsville.
