Sacandaga Valley Arts Network (SVAN) will be partnering with Micropolis Cooperative Gallery to present an art night in downtown Gloversville— “Art on Main”— a free event open to the public. Celebrate the artwork of regional artists in two locations on Friday, July 8.
The SVAN 2016 Annual Members Show will be on display at the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce Rotunda Gallery. The Members Show is a regional art show featuring the work of many of its fine artists in a variety of media and styles. An opening reception will be held from 4:30-7pm.
Simultaneously, Micropolis Cooperative Art Gallery, located within the Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market, will hold a meet the artists reception. Karen Cooper, a watercolor artist inspired by the New York State landscape and coastal areas of Maine and Massachusetts, will be the guest artist. This will also be an opportunity to view new work of Micropolis artists which includes paintings, drawings, photos, fiber art, batik, mixed media, digital art, sculpture, jewelry, and pottery. Members of Gloversville Community Music will perform in the gallery.

SVAN helps create opportunities for artistic expression and experience in an array of visual, musical, and performance art. SVAN also continues to educate the community through its many offered workshops and classes. The Member Show will continue through August, and is open to the public Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm.
Micropolis Cooperative, Inc. is an organization dedicated to providing services for the benefit of its members including an opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork.
