“Cycle Adirondacks” is coming to Northville, NY from Friday, August 26 until Saturday morning, August 27. “Cycle Adirondacks” is an event hosted by the Wildlife Conservation Society, where cyclists and adventure travelers go on a week-long bicycling trip through regions in the Adirondack Park and stay each night in different towns and villages along the way. This year’s route starts and ends in Hadley-Lake Luzerne. Northville is the final overnight stop on the trip, with roughly 250 cyclists, their families and enthusiasts enjoying all the events and sights that the village has to offer.

To make the last overnight stay of “Cycle the Adirondacks” memorable, the Northville event organizing committee compiled a list of activities for cyclists, families and the public for the duration of the Cycle Adirondacks stay in the village. The public is encouraged to come out to greet the cyclists as they arrive in the village along their route (will enter village on Reed Street, to N. Main Street, to Center Street, to S. Third Street with the “finish line” at Northville Central School)

There will be special events for the cyclists and the public including a performance by the Atkinson Family Band at 7pm in Waterfront Park, along with a beer tent. A complete schedule and listing of events will be posted in the near future, stay tuned for details!
