Advanced beginner to advanced
12 maximum participants, age 16–adult
For painters who are advanced beginners through intermediate and
advanced skill levels. Students will explore the versatility of acrylic paint which can be manipulated to look like oil or to appear like the washes of watercolor. Those students with a foundation in oils, and who have those supplies, are welcome to use that medium in class. Themes from everyday life as viewed in still-life or landscape will serve as subject matter to
inspire each student. Emphasis will be on composition, the language of color, dramatic light, spatial relationships and painting techniques.
