Spanning three generations of vocalists, The Flipsydz create a sound from the “golden oldies” that has the youthful tone of today’s generation. They recreate authentic sounds you will remember while also adding their own unique style to their repertoire. The group primarily performs a capella, evoking memories of the doo-wop groups that performed on street corners in Philadelphia and Brooklyn in the 1950s and ‘60s. Members include accomplished operatic singers, members of choral groups and solo artists who have performed across the United States as well as internationally. Though their backgrounds vary, the members of The Flipsydz share a common love for a cappella doo-wop music and creating wonderful harmony together.
