Gloversville Community Music presents “Pages from History”, a concert celebrating our area’s rich history in the arts. This afternoon of music will feature the Glove City Community Winds, directed by Katharine Kollias and the Glove City Winds, directed by Joshua Thompson.

The program will feature a new edition of John Phillip Sousa’s “A Prohibition Fancy: Mingling of the Wets and the Drys”. A humoresque that was performed in Gloversville, conducted by Sousa himself in the early 20th century. The program will also feature works by Grieg, Bukvich, Hindemith and more.

Tickets will be sold for $8 at the Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market and through ensemble members. They will be $10 the day of the concert.
