GLOVERSVILLE, NY — Plan to bring a new unwrapped toy to the 2016 Classic Image Fulton County Express Holiday Parade happening in downtown Gloversville starting at 7 pm on Friday November 18th. Toys will be collected by United States Marines assigned to the Capital Region Toys for Tots Campaign – now proudly serving areas including all of Fulton & Montgomery Counties.
The parade has been set to begin at North Main Street at Sixth Avenue before traveling south to South Main Street at Forest Street. 9-year-old Safyre Terry has been named Grand Marshal. Safyre is the lone survivor following a 2013 Schenectady arson fire that claimed the lives of her dad and her three siblings. Safyre now serves as Little Miss Capital Region Toys for Tots. She has a profound love for Christmas. Like Safyre Schenectady’s Super Survivor for updates related to Safyre’s ongoing progress.
