Each month, Janet Dunn teaches a beginner class on healthy eating at the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts. Students will learn simple recipes that are delicious and easy to prepare. The fourth class in this series focuses on grains. Many cultures consider grains to be the most complete food and look to them as the foundation of their diet. Grains are strengthening, grounding and rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and protein. Janet will demonstrate four recipes that use quinoa, mint, parsley, cucumber, tomatoes, lemon and jicama. The cost is $30 if you pre-register or $40 for walk-ins. Members of the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts receive a 10% discount — don’t forget to enter the code at checkout.
