The Caroga Historical Museum offers “An Introduction to Genealogy” workshop from 10 am until noon. This workshop will be led by museum trustee Jim Miller, a member of the National Genealogy Society. The workshops will consist of two sessions running from 1.5 to 2 hours each on consecutive Wednesdays starting at 10 am starting June 29th. The workshops will be limited to four participants and will be held in the Homestead building on the museum grounds at 145 London Bridge Road in Caroga Lake. Participants are asked to bring a pencil and eraser and / or a Wi-Fi capable device (pc or tablet). A fill in ancestor chart will be provided. Depending on the interest expressed, additional sessions of “An Introduction to Genealogy” on subsequent Wednesdays will be available throughout the museum season. A $15 donation to the museum to help cover operating expenses for both sessions workshop is requested.
