Students age 14 and up can create their version of Dutch Master Albrecht Durer’s famous “Praying Hands” as they learn to shade with various grades of graphite. Each participant will receive artist grade drawing paper with an outline of praying hands similar to those by Durer. They will then produce a keepsake drawing rich in value contrasts and the illusion of three dimensions. The Lenten Art Series for Teens and Adults continues March 20 and 27 with a chalk pastel sunset landscape and April 3 and 10 with a watercolor of Easter lilies and tulips. Limit 15.
