Ancient civilizations were the first to use maracas, and today musicians around the world still jam out to them and their unique percussion sound. This two-part workshop is your chance to make your very own colorful maraca from a gourd! Artist Jeff Subik will walk you through the process. Once you capture the perfect sound, you will design and paint your maraca so that it has its own personality. This workshop is open to teens and adults. Advanced registration is required.
