July 15 and 16 Market Fair 10 am – 4 pm A recreation of an event first hosted by Sir William Johnson in 1772, featuring 18th century sutlers’ booths, colonial life demonstrations, military life, foot races, period entertainment including magician “Mr. Bayly” and Punch & Judy performances, open-hearth cooking demonstrations of African and African-American food ways, and an Open House. No parking on Site – shuttle busses will run between Johnson Hall and parking at the Johnstown High School. Free admission — Donations to help support the event will be greatly appreciated! Regular guided tours of the historic house will not be offered this weekend.
