A “Meet the Artists” reception will be held on Friday, March 10, between 5 and 7pm at Micropolis Cooperative Art Gallery. Featured guest artist will be watercolor painter Kathleen Oakes of Amsterdam, NY.
Oakes works in acrylics and oils in addition to watercolors and is inspired by the scenery of the Adirondacks. She is a Signature Artist of the Central New York Watercolor Society.
A new show of artwork by Micropolis member artists will also be on display in the gallery. Work will include paintings, drawings, photographs, fiber art, batik, mixed media, woodwork, glass, digital art, sculpture, jewelry, and pottery. The show will run through the end of April.
French 75, a New Orleans style group playing 1920s jazz standards, will entertain during the reception.
The gallery is located inside Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market at 30 N. Main St., Gloversville, and is open seven days a week. (MON-FRI 8am-7pm / SAT 8am-5pm / SUN 9am-4pm)
