Still Alice by Lisa Genova will be featured on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the library. The story tells the story of Alice Howland. At fifty years old, she’s a cognitive psychology professor at Harvard and a world-renowned expert in linguistics with a successful husband and three grown children. When she becomes increasingly disoriented and forgetful, a tragic diagnosis changes her life—and her relationship with her family and the world—forever.

Maria Riccio Bryce will facilitate the discussion. Maria, a noted playwright, actress and singer spent a decade in London and along with her husband founded the Overground Theatre, one of London’s leading fringe theatres of the 1970’s. Upon returning to Amsterdam she began her work as a playwright creating Mother, I’m Here, Hearts of Fire, and My Semi-Professional Life in the Quasi-Professional Theatre.

This program series is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. Sponsored by the Mohawk Valley Library System and participating member libraries.
