Joan Murray’s five poetry books include: Swimming for the Ark: New & Selected Poems 1990-2015; Looking for the Parade (which won the National Poetry Series Open Competition); and Queen of the Mist (which received a Broadway commission). A repeat guest on NPR’s Morning Edition, she is a two-time National Endowment for the Arts Poetry Fellowship winner, a two-time Pushcart Prize winner, and a former Writer in Residence at the New York State Writers Institute.
