In these sessions for the novice or experienced writer, participants will write fiction and submit it for peer and instructor feedback. Participants will follow the “workshop model,” where they read one another’s stories at home and discuss in person. Sample works by published authors will also be read and analyzed, so as to better understand the characteristics and techniques that make for good fiction writing. Registration required: in-person, online at www.johnstownpubliclibrary.info or by phone at 518 762 8317. Facilitated by Brian Phillip Whalen, SUNY Albany Lecturer.

This program series is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. Sponsored by the Mohawk Valley Library System and participating member libraries.
