The Lexington and CDPHP Autism Resource Center is hosting a Sensory Santa opportunity at the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts. Sensory Santa is ideal for children with special needs such as autism and sensory processing disorders who may be overwhelmed by large crowds, bright lights and loud music. Children will meet with Santa alone in a quiet, soothing atmosphere, where they will receive individualized attention. Santa’s suit will be extra soft for a soothing sensory experience and there will be no nearby distractions. Children waiting to meet with Santa will be provided with coloring sheets, Christmas bulb decorating and more. Parents and children will also have an opportunity to tour the Lexington and CDPHP Autism Resource Center.
