The Mayfield Historical Society will hold its annual Strawberry Festival at the Rice Homestead, 328 Riceville Rd., Mayfield on Saturday, June 10, from noon to 4 pm. Strawberry shortcake, ice cream, and beverages will be served. The festival marks the opening of the Rice Homestead for the season. There will be music by Gary VanSlyke, weaving demonstrations by Eileen Wrightsman, and free tours of the home. Donations are $4 for adults and $2 for children under 8 years of age. In case of rain, the venue will be the Mayfield Presbyterian Church on Main St. For additional information, call 661-0538.
