United Way’s Annual Theatre Night

Mary Poppins at CLT on Thursday August 3 at 7 pm.
One of the most popular Disney movies of all time is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect musical! Based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins delighted Broadway audiences for over 2,500 performances and received nominations for nine Olivier and seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical.Music and lyrics by Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman (with additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe) and a script by Julian Fellowes

This delightful musical introduces a very special nanny who is “practically perfect in every way”.  She can make tidying up a magical experience.  In fact she can make any endeavor or outing a magical experience.  Audiences will be as delighted as her charges, the Banks children, when Mary Poppins arrives at 17 Cherry Lane.

Directed by Justin Newkirk with Music Direction by Laura Kraebel.

This show is sure to be “superclifragilisticexpialidocious” pleasing audience members aged 6 to 106. We even bet you will be tempted to “Step in Time” as you leave the theatre.

All tickets are $15, and all proceeds benefit the United Way of Fulton County. Contact the United Way at 518-725-9817 to reserve yours. Seating is limited to the first 130 persons.
