In these sessions for both the novice and experienced writer, participants will write original short stories and submit them for peer and instructor feedback. Participants will follow the “workshop model,” where they read one another’s stories at home and discuss in person. Sample short stories by published authors will also be read and analyzed, so as to better understand the characteristics and techniques that make for good fiction writing. Facilitated by Brian Phillip Whalen, SUNY Albany Lecturer. Please sign up by visiting www.johnstownpubliclibrary.info or calling the library at 762-8317.
