Children ages 5-10 will chase the November chill away by creating their very own beach in a jar. Each child will start with an empty jar and add beach sand, seashells, driftwood, stones and a tiny bit of sea glass. By the end of class, kids will have a moving sculpture that is fun to watch as they turn the jar. Beth will also show little artists how to make paper flowers to add to their November summer experience.

Join the Glove City Winds and Community Winds in an afternoon of music inspired by all things fantastical. The City Winds will be performing the Symphonic Fantasy from “Howl’s Moving Castle” and the Community Winds will be performing highlights from “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. More on the program to include works by: Rachmaninov, Tchasikovsky and Whitacre.

The concert will take place at the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church, 22 North Main Street, Mayfield, NY. Tickets are $8 pre sale and $10 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market or through Gloversville Community Music.

GLOVERSVILLE, NY — The 2017 Gloversville Holiday Parade has been set to be held starting at 7 pm on Friday evening November 17th. Those who plan to watch the parade are asked to bring at least one new unwrapped toy to be collected by United States Marines with Toys for Tots. The parade will begin at the corner of North Main Street and Eighth Avenue before traveling south on North Main Street and continuing onto South Main Street. It will end at the Gloversville Water Department on South Main Street near Forest Street.

In recognition of his continued service to the City of Gloversville this year’s Gloversville Holiday Parade Grand Marshal has been voted as Gloveresville Mayor Dayton King.

BROADALBIN, NY — The first ever Rock for Tots of Fulton & Montgomery Counties has been set to be held at the Robin’s Nest in the Town of Broadalbin on Saturday night November 25th, 2017. The event will include LIVE band performances and other music by Top Shelf Entertainment along with food and drink specials. Admission tickets will be available in advance for just $5 (to be announced) or just $7 at the door. All are urged to bring at least one new unwrapped toy. Proceeds from this event will be used to help support efforts by the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign within both Fulton & Montgomery Counties.
