The Mayfield Historical Society’s 26th annual Christmas Open House will be on Saturday and Sunday, December 2 and 3 at The Rice Homestead, 328 Riceville Rd., Mayfield. The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The Homestead will be decorated inside and out in the spirit of Christmas. There will be tours of the home, weaving demonstrations by Eileen Wrightsman in The Loom Room, and musical entertainment on both days from 1 to 3 pm with the “Harry, Larry & Norm” trio performing on Saturday and “Fleur de Lys” on Sunday. Hot mulled cider and cookies will be served. Home made pies will be sold. Admission is free. Donations are welcome. Call 518-332-0538 for additional information.
