The Mayfield Historical Society’s 32nd Annual Christmas Open House at The Rice Homestead will be on Saturday, December 2nd, from 12 – 4 p.m. Musical entertainment in the Victorian Parlor will be by Fleur de Lys from 12-2 pm and Dana Carroll on the hammered dulcimer from 2-4 pm. Rooms will be decorated in the holiday spirit of yesteryear with fireplaces ablaze and homemade cookies and hot mulled cider will be served. Spinning and wool rug braiding demonstrations will be in The Loom Room and the very popular Homemade Pie Sale will be in the dining room as well as gift baskets for raffle. This event is free and open to the public and refreshments are free.
