Peck’s Park Historical Society, Peck’s Park Schoolhouse and Museum. The school was built by John Peck for his children and for the workers’ children. His businesses were a tannery and sawmill. There was no electricity until 1938. In 1890 the teacher was paid $7.50 per week. The school continued until 1959. The wonderful thing about the school is that all of the desks, etc. were stored by the Peck family.  In 1995 the property use was donated by the Peck Family to the Historical Society and the school restored. It is a real functioning museum that people can walk into.

Open June through September every Wednesday & Saturday 1 to 4 PM. Special appointments for groups are encouraged for other days. Admission: A contribution
